WyoAIDS Walk 2004 was a tremendous success thanks to all the volunteers, donors, sponsors and estimated 500 walkers who made it possible. The NAMES Project Quilt display, education forums and HIV Testing also reached hundreds more. The walk raised $13,500 to help men, women and children living with HIV in Wyoming. A grant of $13,000 was awarded to the Casper based Wyoming AIDS Project, and $500 was allocated to help cover drug co-pays under the Ryan White Title III program. This brings the 3-year walk total to more than $33,000 that to date (March 2005) has helped more than 80 individuals and their families across the state. The money has helped pay for dental care, medications, vision care, medical supplies, mental health counseling and other unmet needs.
